<p>You have the opportunity to select the men and women who will set policy and plan activities for the Pacific Southwest Chapter for the year to come.  It’s time for the annual election of Governors.  The ballots are on their way to you, and are due back by May 31st, so don&#8217;t procrastinate&#8211;be sure to cast your cast your vote immediately when you receive your election materials.</p>

<p><strong>Mark your calendar to join us on Saturday, June 16, 2012</strong>, and be on the lookout for your invitation, which will be mailed in early May.  The evening will begin at 5:30 pm with a no-host reception and silent auction, followed by dinner and the awards ceremony.  All proceeds from the silent auction will go to the Scholarship Fund.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div><strong>Did you know that students who want to pursue a career in telecommunications can apply for a NATAS-PSW scholarship? If you are living in the San Diego, Las Vegas, Bakersfield, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, or Palm Springs and are enrolled full or part time in a two or four year college or university, the NATAS Pacific Southwest Chapter Foundation, offers scholarships that can range from $500 to as much as $2500. </strong></div>
<div><strong><br />
“Over the years, we’ve awarded over $260,000 in college scholarship to students”, said Foundation CEO Suzanne Bartole. The scholarship committee considers good scholars and places a particular interest in creative achievement.</strong></div>
<div><strong><br />
Students should intend to pursue a career in telecommunications or some related field, and should include examples of their work, along with a completed application form by April 20, 2012. </strong></div>
