NATAS-PSW Emmy Call for Entries is Open
The Emmy Call for Entries is open! Here’s the list of categories. Get your entry/entries in by 9 p.m. Pacific January 22. Late entries will be accepted through 9 p.m. on January 29 with a $25/per entry/entrant late fee.
Here’s what you do: 1) Renew your membership for 2016, or join for the first time through Emmy Express, 2) Enter your program or craft through Emmy Express, make sure you have all the names on the entry at that time, 3) Pay for your entry either through Emmy Express via credit card or send in a check. You do not need to upload your video today. All videos must be uploaded by Wednesday, February 3rd.
If you have Emmy Rewards, you may add them to these entries. This year you will be able to use a maximum of $25 worth (five) of Emmy Rewards per entry.
41st NATAS-Pacific Southwest Emmy Awards to be held in Palm Springs

r the NATAS-PSW Emmy® Awards will be held Saturday, June 20th in the desert at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage. A cocktail reception will begin at 5pm in the foyer of the Ambassador Ballroom followed by dinner and the Awards ceremony. Tickets are on sale now through June 8th. Members may purchase 2 tickets at the member price of $100. Each additional ticket may be purchased at the non-member rate of $165. Table sponsorships are also available.
Beginning June 1st, all tickets will be at the non-member price.
Station table sponsorships include either one table of 10 with preferred seating, sponsor recognition, plus a full-page ad in the Emmy® Program (if received by our May 15th print deadline) or two tables of 10 with preferred seating, sponsor recognition, plus one full-page ad in the Emmy® Program. For those of you wishing to stay at the hotel, rooms are being held for us at the rate of $129 for a standard room and $169 for a pool or golf view. The resort fee has also been reduced to $10/day. These rates are good from Wednesday, June 17th to Monday, June 22nd. Make sure to mention that you are attending the NATAS-PSW Emmy Awards. For these rates, reservations must be made by May 24th at 5pm. Our room block is limited, so don’t wait until the last minute!

New Categories for 41st Pacific Southwest Emmy Awards
The deadline to submit your online entry form for the 41st Pacific Southwest Emmy Awards is this Friday, January 30th at 9 p.m. Don’t be late. After that time, you can still submit, but there will be a $25/per entrant/per entry late fee. The final day to complete your entry form with a late fee is Friday, February 6th. You will have until Friday, February 13th to upload your video, so submitting your entry form is the greater priority.
We have added three new categories this year:
Category 21. TECHNOLOGY Single Story or Series
For excellence in coverage of technology industry stories and related subject matter. Time limit: 10 minutes. Series time limit: 15 minutes.
Category 38. LIFESTYLE Program/Special
For excellence in a program or special that deals with everyday life subjects; such as food preparation, recipes, techniques, home improvement, decoration, renovation, gardening, outdoors, crafts and/or automotive repairs. Time Limit: 30 minutes.
Category 39. TECHNOLOGY Program/Special
For excellence in a program or special that covers the technology industry and the application of this knowledge for practical results. Time Limit: 30 minutes.
When entering, keep your summary brief and to the point. When entering craft categories, don’t use the same description as the program categories. Tell the judges what you did in particular to your craft for that entry.
And the MOST important detail, pay your membership dues before submitting an entry.
